This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 15, 2007:
First let me reveal who I am:
I am a vegetarian.
I am a non-smoker and non-drinker.
I am deeply spiritual but not religious, yet I am neither too spiritual nor too materialistic - I am balanced - I have a balance of materialism and spirituality within me.
I happen to believe that sex is an extremely beautiful thing, whether before marriage or after marriage, and I am okay with the idea of joyous sexual celebration.
I believe that true happiness lies within - I need nothing external to me - no person, place or thing - to be happy. I can be happy simply by choosing to be happy. There is no way to happiness - happiness is the way.
In answer to the question, What, in your view, makes life meaningful?, this is the answer I give:

This is my definition of a romantic relationship:

I really like these songs:
I have read Communion with God , The Future of Love , and Busting Loose From the Money Game: Mind-Blowing Strategies for Changing the Rules of a Game You Can't Win
I know that I am wonderful, beautiful and adorable, as we all are.
Yet, I am willing to grow, like the wonderful flower that grows to become more beautiful with every moment.
Naturally, I also expect the partner I am with to also be a vegetarian, non-smoker, non-drinker, deeply spiritual but not religious, who have read or is willing to read the books I have mentioned, who deeply realizes that she is wonderful, yet is willing to grow...and....you get the idea, right?

Thank you for giving of yourself. How beautifully expressed!
Yes, it's always nice to be on the same page with a partner, as I'm fortunate to be. But this doesn't mean you can't be on different paragraphs on that page. After all, differences can spice things up a bit.
: )
Wonderful post. Thank you.
