The Full Story Behind my Poem "It"

This refers to the poem and painting mentioned in my blog:
Understand this - no painting has ever had this effect on me.
Understand this also: I had seen this exact same painting the day before that fateful moment, and I had felt nothing.
But this time, it was different.
I looked at that painting, and just
could not
take my eyes off it.
I looked
and looked
and looked,
and then looked some more.
And the girl who was sitting behind me, who worked at the gallery where the painting was placed, uttered the words:
"It's beautiful, isn't it?"
I looked back at her and could only smile.
What could I say?
Beautiful did not even come close to what I was seeing, what I was feeling.
And then she came and stood beside me, leaned on a poll, and said, "It makes me feel so peacefull..and so beautiful..."
I looked at her and murmured "yes" and I silently invited the Beloved to be in our presence, though I felt that it was already there, and I asked for It to guide my every word, my every action.
And then the girl went back to her chair, and some people came, and so, I reluctantly went away and looked at other paintings in the gallery and I kept coming back to this same painting.
And so, the girl came to me again and asked, "Would you like to look at it in the viewing gallery?"
Now, I did not even know what that was.
Well, it turned out to be something made for people just like me!
:)
She brought down the painting from the wall, and led me to a little room with a sofa seat for two and a large space in front to put up a single painting - interestingly, I had seen this exact same room a few minutes earlier, and I had had a vision of sitting on that seat with a nice girl, while looking at a beautiful painting - and when I had that vision, I was so happy, and I thought, 'That would be so nice.'
Interestingly, that's close to what happened later on.
And while putting up that painting on the wall, she asked me,
"So what exactly do you like about the painting?"
I paused...
for a very loooooooooooooooooooooong time,
I paused.
And the beautiful thing was - I was pausing, not to think, but to not think, to simply let the words flow spontaneously out of the stillness...
And the words flowed...
Stillness.
Peace..
Romantic...
It...................................
reflects......
the Love that I am.
It
allows me to be still and go beyond words.....
And the rest of the words came later, much later.
But these were the words I spoke to her.
And later on, she sat on the hand-rest of the sofa - since I didn't really invite her to sit beside me, she kept some distance - that was so nice of her - and she revealed what she liked about the painting.
What really struck me about what she said were the words:
"It says Pathway to Paradise, but it's as if you are already there, like the journey is a paradise."
Very interesting.
And at some point, she asked me where I was from, and I said, "Burma".
And she said, "Oh, I actually know a Burmese word or two. 'Mingalabar', which means hello....and....and....wait....how do you say "thank you"?
It turned out she was in Thailand for six months and met a lot of Burmese people....
After this moment with the painting, the joy and peace and ecstasy I felt lasted for so many hours! It was amazing!
Anyway,
May our days be filled with love, ecstasy and holy relationships!
Much Love, Peace and Namaste,

It's very interesting, these Burmese words. The direct translation of
“Mingalabar” is actually “Auspiciousness be to you”, and the direct translation of the Burmese word for 'Thank you' is actually “I am now your slave”, which in mordern times, is more gently translated as “I am now at your service”.
WOW Kundan!!!
This is very sacred and beautiful!!! It sound like the beginning of a movie…and I just love the dialog and the way you both have captured the blis in the moment! With that you have also captured it in words and I feel peace as well. Now I need to see this picture….
And we need to hear Part 2…LOL
Love, Aley
Entriguing story. It could be , yes the begining of a long journey, in a book or movie.
Hi Aley!
Hmm…I actually gave the link to the picture and the poem in my blog post itself.
Another person also seemed to be unable to access it.
And so I will repost that link in ordinary link format, instead of hyperlink:
