The Real Problem with People
You are Goodness itself.
You are Love itself.
You are Happiness itself.
But you do not know this. That's your real problem.
You've been programmed, conditioned and brainwashed by every segment of society, including religion, into believing that you are not good enough, and this programming goes further:
You've also been led to believe that therefore you need to become good, and that you need somehing outside of yourself to become good - like religion. And if it's not religion, then it's a boob-job, or a new car, a new toy, a new girlfriend or boyfriend, or "Success".
And it is this belief that you are not good enough that leads you to a self-fulfilling prophecy where you behave in ways that prove to yourself that indeed you are not good enough - and so you fall back to your belief system and try even harder at it - take another religious class if you are religious or get another boob-job if you are of the materialistic kind.
And maybe, you do become a little bit better after taking that class - not necessarily because the class itself has any beneficial effect but simply because of your belief that you will become better. This, however is not long-lasting, because, deep inside, you believe yourself to be not good enough - and your religion (or any other segment of society) simply supports this belief and deepens it - it's a vicious circle, a downward spiral of becoming more and more dependent on what you believe in, decreasing your already-low self-esteem even more, with only a few highs in between - again only because of your belief.
How to get out of this cycle?
Just simply know Who You Are, claim Who You Are -
just know that you are good enough - not only are you good, you are Goodness itself, not only are you wonderful, you are Wonder itself, not only are you beautiful, you are Beauty itself. You are Happiness itself. You are Love itself. Just know this, internalize it - there's nothing else you have to do.

Help

You're right on, Kundan. I spent the past 25+ years of my life believing myself to be “not good enough” and there was always some reason to feel that way. I spend the now in the state you suggest, “I am…goodness, happiness, peace, health, wealth, joy, generosity, humility, love…” and on and on :) :)
I have met thousands of people in my line of street tarot work: Overwhelming in majority are those who feel hold and believe that they are entitled to a life of luxury power over others and endless abundance. However not a single one I have met are balanced and at peace with themselves or the world. They look at everyone else and wonder, “Is this person going to look good as my friend/lover/contact? If not I dont want him near me! Is this going to advance my career/get me more money/make me look good? No? Get it out of my face!”
“You are Goodness”, but I know people who feel that their appearance of good is more than sufficient to cover up their lack of integrity and authenticity. We may have forgotten this is all divine, all good, and sure as hell making believe that not good is good however. Are we really goodness, has that been historically demonstrated? Then this world is paradise right now as it is, no alterations necessary! Perhaps what you mean is that we have the capacity for goodness, as we have the capacity for evil, delusions, megalomania or extreme selfishness and destructiveness?
“Are we really goodness, has that been historically demonstrated? Then this world is paradise right now as it is, no alterations necessary!”
So, basically, because this world is horrible, you think that people are horrible?
Yet, it's precisely because we think of people and ourselves as horrible that we behave accordingly, and so, create a horrible world. If each and every one in the world realized that he or she is Goodness itself, then yes, this world would be a paradise, no alterations necessary.
But as of now, there is indeed an alteration necessary - each person must come to realize that he or she is goodness itself for the world to become paradise.
Perhaps sometimes this that you shared, which is lovely, works for some evolved souls who can hear it. Yet, as far as the whole who will not even hear it yet, there is still some Healing to do before they can realize these things and really take them in. You know what I mean?
I see your intentions as being good and it is also idealistic, which is beautiful to me.
umm… Off that tangent…
Embrace what is now. Embrace reality in order to transcend reality. There are times where I may not honestly feel beautiful or happy and it is just as important to acknowledge what I really am feeling accept it and then see if I can move onto a positive perspective.
