There is a reason why

executioners

are not allowed to look into their victim's eyes -

they are usually hooded, or shot from the back.

The fear is the fear of

That eye-contact

Reminding one of the eternal song singing within the heart:

"I have loved you before,

I love you today,

I will love you later."

There is a reason why modern warfare

uses long-range weapons.

The fear is that of 2 enemies ending up

in the same trench,

glancing, even, for a split-second, into each other's eyes,

their weapons dropped,

simply sharing a cigar,

Their hearts singing

The Eternal Song:

"I have loved you before,

I love you today,

I will love you later."

There is a reason why some people look down

when talking,

or look anywhere

but me.

The fear is the fear of

The first time I looked into your eyes

was the first time I melted and melded into the Oneness,

our hearts singing,

"I have loved you before,

I love you now,

I will love you forever."
